What is the duration of the internship?
RA is a 9 month internship starting at the beginning of September and wrapping up the year in June.
Where is RA located?
RA is based out of Christian Life Center in Tinley Park IL. We are about 25 miles south of downtown Chicago.
Tuition for the year is $6500. This includes
- Associates degree
- Retreats
- Special events
- Local missions
- Books
- Apparel
- Gym membership
- Mexico Missions trip
A non-refundable deposit of $500 is due August 1st. $4000 of the tuition cost is due on August 25th, and the remaining balance of $2000 is due Jan. 5th.
We highly recommend that students have $150 each month for gas, personal items & the occasional dining out.
Do I need insurance?
Students are responsible to provide health insurance effective for the duration of your stay at RA. This insurance should cover travel outside of the United States. While at RA, you will be considered a student, which may help reduce insurance costs.
Can I have a job while in RA?
Due to the nature of the program and the time commitment required, an outside job is not feasible.
Where will I live?
Room and board is provided by members of our CLC family. Not only will your host home provide you with food to eat and a place to sleep, they will also become a source of support and encouragement for you throughout the year.
Do I need a car?
Yes. Due to the nature of the program and the size of the area we are based in, it will be necessary for students to have transportation.
Is there time off for holidays?
You will be given time off for Thanksgiving as well as Christmas.
Are we given personal time?
In general, students will be given one day off a week, however the day off will vary depending on our activities for the week.
Where do we go on missions?
Our trips vary from year to year but we have strong relationships with people in Mexico as well as East Africa.
How much does missions cost? How do we pay for missions?
Our trip to Mexico is included in your tuition. Any trip that we make overseas will vary in cost. We will do fundraising as a group, as well as teach you how to write support letters, but in the end the cost of the overseas trip will be your personal responsibility.
Are the credits transferable?
In general yes, these credits are transferable; however, each school has different requirements for transferring credits.
Is dating allowed?
Because this year is about giving everything to God we want to limit distractions. Therefore we do not allow our students to be involved in a dating relationship, either physically or emotionally.
